Two youths die in Nawalparasi motorcycle-bus collision



NAWALPARASI: Two youths riding a motorcycle died after being hit by a bus in Nawalparasi West.

According to the District Police Office, Nawalparasi, the victims were Bhola Rajbhar, 21, of Pratappur Rural Municipality-4, Pachpeda, and Rahul Rajbhar, 18, of Ramgram Municipality-15, Digoul. The accident occurred on Saturday at Jharahi Khola in Palhinandan Rural Municipality-1.

District Senior Police Officer Birdutt Panta stated that the bus (registration Lu 2 Kha 654) collided with the motorcycle (registration Lu 47 Pa 4879) while overtaking at a bend in the road.

Both victims sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Prithvi Chandra Hospital, Parasi, for treatment, but they succumbed to their injuries during treatment.

The bus driver has been taken into police custody for further investigation.
