Meetings of both Houses of Federal Parliament taking place today



KATHMANDU: Meetings of both Houses of the Federal Parliament are taking place today.

The House of Representatives will convene at 1:00 PM, while the National Assembly meeting is set for 1:15 PM, according to the Parliament Secretariat.

In today’s House of Representatives session, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is scheduled to present a proposal, along with a statement, to initiate a general discussion on the annual estimate of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2082/83. Discussion on this proposal is included in the tentative agenda.

Likewise, Ramhari Khatiwada, Chairperson of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, is slated to present the committee’s report on the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2082.

The National Assembly will also continue the general discussion on the government’s annual budget estimates during its meeting.
