Parliamentarian Manish Jha accuses govt of political vendetta

KATHMANDU: Manish Jha, a Member of Parliament (MP) from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has accused the state of targeting his party president in a case of political revenge, and claimed that Madhav Kumar Nepal, chair of the Unified Socialist Party, has also been drawn into the process.

Speaking during Tuesday’s session of the House of Representatives, Jha questioned the pattern of political actions being taken. “It started with our party president, then Resham Chaudhary, and now we hear Madhav Kumar Nepal is being summoned for questioning. Who’s next? CK Raut?” he asked.

Jha emphasized that the party is deeply concerned about what it sees as a growing trend of political retribution.

“We are taking these developments very seriously,” he said. “This appears to be a series of politically motivated actions. We cannot stay silent forever—it may no longer be tolerable.”
