Teen killed by lightning while grazing goats in Udayapur



UDAYAPUR: A teenager in Katari, Udayapur, died after being struck by lightning.

The deceased has been identified as 13-year-old Chit Bahadur Walampaki Magar, a resident of Ward 8, Katari Municipality. He had gone to the nearby forest to graze goats and did not return home by Monday evening.

When only the goats returned without him, his father, Man Bahadur, went searching and eventually discovered his son lying unconscious in the forest. Ward Chairperson Nabin Tamang confirmed that the boy had been struck by lightning.

Authorities from the Katari Area Police Office have confirmed his death at the scene and stated that further investigation is underway.
