KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred seven joint secretaries, appointing them as Chief District Officers (CDOs) in districts where the position was vacant.

According to the transfer list made public today, Dharmaraj Joshi has been appointed as the CDO of Banke, while Divyaraj Pokharel has been transferred to Sankhuwasabha.

Similarly, Narahari Ghimire will assume the role in Khotang, Binod Khadka in Rautahat, Bijayraj Subedi in Okhaldhunga, and Shashidhar Ghimire in Nuwakot.

In addition, Ram Krishna Adhikari, who previously served as the CDO of Nuwakot, has been recalled to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The government frequently reshuffles CDOs to enhance administrative efficiency, maintain law and order, and address governance challenges at the district level.

The newly appointed officers will now be responsible for overseeing security, disaster management, and overall district administration in their respective areas.
