Youth Minister Gupta vows to advance youth-focused agendas, stresses road safety awareness



KATHMANDU: Minister for Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta has said that he will push youth-related agendas more effectively, emphasizing that the concerns of young people fall directly under his ministry’s mandate.

Speaking at a road accident reduction awareness and volunteerism program jointly organized by the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and the National Youth Council on the occasion of International Volunteer Day 2025, Minister Gupta highlighted the importance of placing youths at the center of national policy efforts.

Gupta pledged that despite limited resources, the ministry will extend necessary support to minimize road accidents. He stressed the need for both the public and traffic police to foster a positive attitude toward each other, saying that stronger mutual understanding would help reduce accidents significantly.

International Volunteer Day has been observed globally on December 5 every year since 1985 to honor the contributions of volunteers and promote volunteerism and service culture from the local to the international level.
