DAMAULI: A 58-year-old man has died after being assaulted in Bahunbhanjyang, Bandipur Rural Municipality-5. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrawan Kumar BK, the deceased has been identified as Khushiman Gurung.
The police said that 70-year-old Khim Bahadur Gurung, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, struck Khushiman on the head with a hammer.
Khushiman succumbed to his injuries during treatment last night. Khim Bahadur has been taken into police custody for further investigation.
