KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli met with a 20-member delegation from the Malaysia–Nepal Business Council at Baluwatar on Saturday.
The delegation, led by Pradeep Kumar Kukreja (Dato), Executive Chairman of Malaysia’s Paradise Group, is visiting Nepal to explore investment opportunities and understand the country’s business environment.
During the meeting, the delegation expressed interest in establishing meaningful ventures in Nepal and strengthening bilateral business ties. They shared plans to explore sectors such as plastic waste processing, information technology parks, and tourism.
In response, PM Oli assured them that the government is committed to promoting foreign investment and has been implementing legal and structural reforms to create a more investment-friendly environment. He welcomed the council’s interest and encouraged them to invest in Nepal.
According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, both sides also discussed potential investments in agriculture, human resource, textile, IT, and tourism.
