KATHMANDU: The ban on passenger vehicles entering Kathmandu via the BP Highway from Khurkot in Sindhuli during nighttime hours has been extended by another 30 days.

A joint security meeting of the districts of Kavrepalanchowk, Sindhuli, and Ramechhap made the decision to continue the restriction, citing ongoing monsoon conditions and the risk of potential disasters.

According to the District Administration Office, Sindhuli, the ban applies to both private and public passenger vehicles between 6:30 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

The restriction was initially in place until July 4, but authorities have now extended it for an additional month.
