Two Armed Police personnel missing during rescue drill in Saptakoshi River



SUNSARI: Two members of the Armed Police Force went missing on Thursday while participating in a rescue drill in the Saptakoshi River near the Koshi Barrage.

The missing personnel have been identified as Suraj Saud and Hardev Rajbanshi.

According to the Armed Police Force’s Madhesh Province Office in Bardibas, the two officers were taking part in a flood rescue training exercise when the incident occurred. Both were wearing oxygen masks during the drill.

Saptari Police Chief Dhakendra Khatiwada confirmed their disappearance and said additional police teams from Sunsari and Saptari have joined the ongoing search operation.
