Light to heavy rain likely across several provinces



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported that the country is currently experiencing the combined influence of westerly and local winds, along with partial effects from moisture-laden air entering from the Bay of Bengal.

According to the division, skies are generally cloudy in Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while partial cloud cover is observed in the remaining provinces.

Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning has been recorded in some areas of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim, and in isolated locations of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

For this afternoon, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in several areas of Sudurpaschim, Lumbini, Gandaki, Bagmati, and Koshi provinces, with a chance of isolated heavy rain in parts of Gandaki and Lumbini.

Tonight, weather conditions are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions, while other parts of the country will experience mainly clear to partly cloudy skies.

Light rain with thunder and lightning is likely at isolated locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces. Additionally, light rain and snowfall are possible in some mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali.
