KATHMANDU: The Committee for the Recommendation of the Names of the Chairpersons and Members of the Commission for Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission has called on the public to submit their opinions and suggestions on the proposed selection process for appointing office bearers to the two transitional justice bodies.

In a meeting held on Friday, the committee decided to seek public input on the draft document titled Selection Process for the Recommendation of the Names of the Chairpersons and Members of the Commissions, 2025.

The committee’s spokesperson, Dr. Lily Thapa, stated that the decision aims to ensure broader participation and transparency in the appointment process.
