NPL: Two matches set to shape playoff race today

KATHMANDU: The race for the Nepal Premier League (NPL) playoffs heats up today as four teams take the field in two decisive matches that could reshape the points table.

The first match features the Pokhara Avengers against the Kathmandu Gorkhas at 11:45 am, followed by a clash between the Sudurpaschim Royals and the Chitwan Rhinos at 4:00 pm.

Pokhara, with only four points from five matches, are under pressure to secure a win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Kathmandu, meanwhile, have collected eight points from six matches and are aiming to strengthen their position.

Sudurpaschim, who have already secured a spot in the playoffs, will take on Chitwan, who must win to remain in contention. Sudurpaschim sit at the top with 10 points, while Chitwan have four points from five matches and face a must-win situation.
