Ram Hari Khatiwada files candidacy for chair of Parliamentary Hearing Committee



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress lawmaker Ram Hari Khatiwada has filed his candidacy for the post of chairperson of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee.

He registered his nomination on Thursday following his party’s recommendation.

The position had remained vacant after Congress lawmaker Ishwari Neupane resigned from the post of chair of the State Affairs Committee on August 26. The party decided to nominate Khatiwada for the role.

The election for the committee chair has been scheduled for Friday, with the nomination process open on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
