HoR to discuss key bills and hold Q&A session today



KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives (HoR) is scheduled to meet today at 1:00 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor, with a packed agenda featuring legislative discussions and ministerial accountability sessions.

The meeting will include oral question-and-answer rounds with ministers from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Ministry of Health and Population, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, and the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will present a proposal to consider the Nepal Veterinary Council (First Amendment) Bill, 2082 for decision.

Likewise, Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Nawal Kishore Sah Sudi, will propose sending the Children (First Amendment) Bill, 2082 to the relevant committee for clause-wise discussion.

In addition, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will table a proposal for reconsideration of the Constitutional Council (Work, Duties, Powers and Procedures) (First Amendment) Bill, 2079, which was returned by the President along with a message.
