KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives of the Federal Parliament is set to convene today at 1:00 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.
During today’s meeting, the Secretary General of the Federal Parliament will present a message received from the President regarding the Constitutional Council (Functions, Duties, Powers, and Procedures) (First Amendment) Bill, 2079.
Likewise, Hrishikesh Pokharel, Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee, is slated to propose the endorsement of the recommendations outlined in the 32nd Annual Report of the Public Accounts Committee, 2082, in line with Sub-section (2) of Section 41 of the Financial Procedures and Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2076.
The agenda may also include a proposal from Minister for Youth and Sports, Tejulal Chaudhary, to table the National Sports Development (First Amendment) Bill, 2082 for consideration.
In addition, Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, is expected to present a proposal for the ratification of the World Trade Organization’s Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies.
