KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has directed its provincial and district committees to submit reports with suggestions regarding the organizational report to be presented at the party’s upcoming statutory general convention.
UML Publicity Department Chief Rajendra Gautam said that written suggestions on the organizational report must be submitted by mid-July.
“We have instructed the provincial and district committees to send written reports with necessary suggestions on the organizational report by mid-July,” he said. “These suggestions will be discussed in the Central Committee and then taken to the general convention.”
The party’s second statutory general convention is scheduled to take place from September 5 to 7 in Godavari, Lalitpur.
According to the party, the political report for the convention will be prepared by Prime Minister and UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, the statute amendment proposal by Vice-Chair Bishnu Prasad Poudel, and the organizational report by General Secretary Shankar Pokharel.
