Isolated heavy rain likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that monsoon winds continue to affect the country, with the monsoon low-pressure system currently near its average position.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy across the country. According to the Department, moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in many areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and at a few locations in other provinces.

There is also a chance of heavy rainfall in one or two places within these four provinces. Additionally, light to moderate rain and snowfall may occur in some high hilly and mountainous regions.

Tonight, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy nationwide. Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in other provinces.

One or two locations in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces may also experience heavy rain. The Department has also forecast the possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in parts of the high hills and mountainous regions tonight.
