Four parliamentary committees holding meetings today



KATHMANDU: Four committees under the Federal Parliament are holding meetings today: the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee; International Relations and Tourism Committee; Finance Committee; and Public Accounts Committee.

The Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee will convene at 10:30 AM at Singha Durbar.

The meeting will include discussions with the Ministries of Agriculture, Forests, Energy, Land, and Finance on various issues related to the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Modernization Project.

Key topics include irrigation, fertilizer supply, sugarcane production, technology use, subsidies, and agricultural marketing.

The International Relations and Tourism Committee is scheduled to meet at 11:30 AM at Singha Durbar to hold internal discussions on its annual report.

The Finance Committee will also meet at 11:30 AM in its designated meeting room at Singha Durbar. The committee will consult experts on the proposed amendment to the Banking and Financial Institutions Act, 2073.

The Public Accounts Committee will meet at 1:30 PM at Singha Durbar to review the draft of its 23rd report, discuss the findings of the Pokhara Airport On-Site Study Sub-Committee, and assess progress on complaint and grievance handling.
