Collective initiative essential for promoting entrepreneurship: Minister Bhandari



KATHMANDU: Minister for Labour, Employment, and Social Security, Sharat Singh Bhandari, announced that the government is actively working to create employment opportunities and promote entrepreneurship through the expansion of information systems related to the labour market.

In his address at the inauguration of an employment-focused web portal at the Lord Buddha Education Foundation in Maitidevi, Kathmandu, Minister Bhandari urged the private sector to take collective action in creating internal jobs and fostering entrepreneurship.

The minister also revealed that the government is in the process of developing a national employment portal aimed at providing systematic information on labour and job requirements across the country. The portal, which was first initiated in Koshi Province, will soon be expanded to all local levels.

During the event, Minister Bhandari launched the ‘Empowering Future’ website, which aims to help students discover skills, opportunities, and connect with relevant industries.

Chairperson of the Lord Buddha Education Foundation, Pankaj Jalan, expressed confidence that the new website would assist students in exploring career opportunities and enhancing their skills.

Additionally, organizations involved in IT partnerships were recognized for their contribution to the development of the platform.
