Two parliamentary committees to hold meetings today



KATHMANDU: Two key committees under the Federal Parliament are set to hold meetings today to discuss important legislative matters.

The Finance Committee will convene at 11 am at Singha Durbar to review the proposed amendments to the customs laws. The discussion will proceed clause by clause as lawmakers deliberate on unifying and streamlining customs regulations.

Later in the day, the Legislative Management Committee will meet at 1 pm in its designated meeting room at Singha Durbar.

The agenda includes a discussion on the Shipping (Operation and Management) Bill, 2025, with officials from the Shipping Office. The bill aims to enhance the regulation and management of shipping operations in Nepal.

Both meetings are expected to see active participation from lawmakers and relevant stakeholders as they work towards refining the proposed legislative measures.
