Petroleum discovered in Dailekh as govt prepares extraction plan



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced the discovery of petroleum products in Bhairavi Rural Municipality, Dailekh.

Through a Facebook post, the Prime Minister shared that a sample was extracted from a depth of 402 meters in Jaljalemakul, located in Ward 1 of the rural municipality.

The extracted sample will now undergo laboratory testing before moving toward commercial extraction.

PM Oli highlighted the significance of this discovery and assured that necessary steps would be taken for its utilization.
