KATHMANDU: Dr. Shekhar Koirala, a senior leader of the Nepali Congress, is set to make history as the first Nepali leader to address ministers and members of Parliament at the British Parliament House in Westminster.

Koirala will deliver his address at a special program scheduled for January 13, which will be attended by notable figures including the British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Commerce, and several British MPs.

The invitation was extended by Catherine West, the British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Gareth Thomas, the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Commerce.

Koirala is scheduled to leave for the United Kingdom on January 9 to participate in the event.
