NEPSE drops 13.52 points as market sees over Rs 5.23 billion in turnover



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 13.52 points on Wednesday, closing at 2,631.17 amid heavy trading activity worth Rs 5.23 billion.

A total of 177 listed companies saw their share prices decline, while 74 recorded gains. The prices of seven companies remained unchanged.

During today’s trading, sellers of Sagarmatha Distillery (Sagar Distillery) secured the highest profits, whereas sellers of Samling Power incurred the biggest losses.

Except for finance, hotels and tourism, manufacturing and processing, and mutual funds, all sectoral sub-indices closed in negative territory, reflecting widespread pressure across the market.
