NEPSE falls 8.24 points; market turnover declines



KATHMANDU: Nepal’s stock market benchmark, the NEPSE index, fell by 8.24 points on Monday, closing at 2,622.89 points.

Market turnover also contracted, dropping to Rs 6.05 billion from Rs 9.20 billion recorded the previous day.

Out of the traded companies, 72 gained, 172 fell, and 5 remained unchanged. Sector-wise, banking, finance, hydropower, investment, life insurance, microfinance, and non-life insurance recorded losses, while trading, other sectors, manufacturing and processing, hotels and tourism, and development banks posted gains.
