One killed, 20 injured in bus accident in Mahottari



JANAKPURDHAM: One person was killed and 20 others injured in a bus accident that occurred this morning in Khairmara, Bardibas Municipality, Mahottari. Four of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.

The accident involved a Kathmandu-bound bus (Na 6 Kha 14630) traveling from Khairmara. According to the Area Police Office in Bardibas, the deceased has been identified as Chulhai Chaudhary, an 80-year-old local resident. One passenger had to be rescued after being trapped inside the overturned bus.

A police team was dispatched to the scene and has transported the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities said the cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and an investigation is currently underway.
