Dipendra Singh Airee drops to third in ICC T20I all-rounder rankings

KATHMANDU: Nepali national cricket team all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee has fallen to the third position in the latest ICC T20I all-rounder rankings, which were released on Wednesday.

Airee, who previously held the second spot, dropped one place after Afghanistan’s all-rounder Mohammad Nabi climbed to the second position.

This change comes as the Nepali team has not played any international matches for nearly three months. In the meantime, performances by players from other teams have led to shifts in the rankings. Nabi’s rise in the rankings is a result of his strong performance in the ongoing tri-series in the UAE, where Afghanistan is playing against Pakistan and the UAE.

Nabi’s current rating is 231, while Airee’s is 209. India’s Hardik Pandya remains at the top of the all-rounder rankings, and West Indies’ Roston Chase is in fourth place.

Nepal is scheduled to play a T20I series against the West Indies at the end of September.
