Two children injured as microbus hits pedestrians in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: Two children were injured on Putalisadak in Kathmandu after being struck by a microbus on Wednesday.

According to Superintendent of Police and spokesperson for the Kathmandu District Police, Apilraj Bohara, the microbus bearing registration number Ba. Pra. 01–002 Cha 8322 hit the pedestrians.

The injured, five-year-old Ashika Rai and nine-year-old Bibek Tamang, are receiving treatment at Annapurna Neuro Hospital in Maitighar. Rai’s condition is reported to be stable, while Tamang remains in serious condition.

The microbus driver, 29-year-old Ramhari Bista, a resident of Bhaktapur originally from Sindhupalchok, has been taken into police custody.
