House of Representatives meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) is being held today at 1:00 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, Speaker Devraj Ghimire will begin the session by reading out letters received from the President’s Office and the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers regarding additional work assignments.

House Secretary Harkaraj Rai is scheduled to table the Water Resources Bill, along with the message received from the National Assembly.

Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Ramnath Adhikari will present a proposal to consider the Nepal Veterinary Council (First Amendment) Bill, 2082. Similarly, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak will present a proposal to consider the Nepal Citizenship (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081.

Meanwhile, the Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee is also meeting today to review its annual report for the fiscal year 2081/82 and to discuss the draft action plan for 2082/83.
