Cabinet meeting taking place ahead of PM Oli’s departure for Turkmenistan



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Council of Ministers is taking place at the official residence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Baluwatar today.

The cabinet meeting is being held ahead of Prime Minister Oli’s scheduled departure for Turkmenistan later tonight. According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, he is set to leave at 11:55 PM via Fly Dubai, with a transit in Dubai.

The Prime Minister is attending the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC), taking place in Avaza, Turkmenistan, from August 5–8. Nepal currently chairs the LLDC group.

Prime Minister Oli is expected to return to Nepal on the night of August 8.
