PM Oli tells Spanish investors Nepal among most investment-friendly nations in South Asia

MADRID: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called on Spanish investors to explore business opportunities in Nepal, claiming the country is one of the most investment-friendly destinations in South Asia.

Addressing a business interaction organized jointly by the Embassy of Nepal in Spain and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry, PM Oli said Nepal offers political stability, open-market policies, a competitive workforce, and legal safeguards that make it a compelling choice for international investors.

He said Nepal is prioritizing inclusive economic transformation and recognizes the private sector as a key engine of growth.

“We are committed to enhancing legal, institutional, and procedural reforms to further improve our investment climate,” he said.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come during his official visit to Spain, aimed at strengthening bilateral economic ties. Nepal’s Ambassador to Spain, Sunil Nepal, welcomed the delegation and said the visit had opened new doors for cooperation between the two countries.

PM Oli is scheduled to return to Nepal on Friday.
