Foreign Minister invites BIMSTEC leaders to attend Sagarmatha Sambaad in May



BANGKOK: Nepal has officially invited the heads of state and government of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) to attend the Sagarmatha Sambaad scheduled to be held in May.

The invitation was extended by Nepal’s Foreign Minister Arju Rana during the ongoing conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

In addition to the invitation for the Sagarmatha Sambaad, Minister Rana announced that a meeting of BIMSTEC agriculture ministers will be held in Kathmandu, further strengthening Nepal’s role in regional cooperation within BIMSTEC.
