Foreign political party representatives will not attend UML’s 11th National General Convention

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML has decided not to invite representatives from foreign political parties to its upcoming 11th National General Convention, scheduled from December 13 -15 in Kathmandu.

Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali explained that the convention had to be organized within a short timeframe, leaving insufficient time to coordinate with foreign friendly and fraternal parties.

“We will not be inviting them this time due to limited time,” he said. “However, they will be able to send congratulatory messages during the inaugural session.”

Previously, UML had invited around 50 friendly political parties from countries including China, India, and Vietnam as guests for the opening session of its national conventions.
