DoTM server partially operational

KATHMANDU: The server of the Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has become partially operational.

According to Keshav Khatiwada, Director of Information and Technology at the department, the server started functioning around 2 pm on Sunday.

“Even after retrieving data from the Integrated Data Center in Singha Durbar, we were unable to operate due to water leakage from the ceiling of the building caused by rain. It is now partially operational within the Kathmandu Valley, including Ekantakuna in Lalitpur, Radheradhe in Bhaktapur, and currently in Chabahil and Thulo Bharyang,” he said.

Khatiwada added that services will be expanded to all 44 transport offices across the country by tomorrow (Monday).

He further noted, “Eight to nine offices, including Birtamod and Lahan, were damaged during the Gen-Z movement on September 9. Apart from these, services will resume in all other offices nationwide by tomorrow.”

Currently, services for renewing licenses, online payments for new licenses, and access through the Nagarik app have resumed for applicants. Once fully operational, all services will also be available via the Nagarik app.
