PM Oli arrives in Beijing by train after SCO Plus Summit



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has arrived in Beijing following the conclusion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Plus summit in Tianjin, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

Oli traveled from Tianjin to Beijing by train, where he was welcomed by Chinese officials. During his visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and attend a state dinner hosted by the Vice President with the Nepali delegation.

Earlier in Tianjin, Prime Minister Oli held a bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

As the final engagement of his trip, the Nepali delegation will participate on September 3 in Beijing in the 80th-anniversary celebrations of China’s victory in the war against fascism and Japanese aggression, alongside global leaders. The delegation is expected to return to Nepal later the same day.
