National Assembly meeting to be held today

KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly is scheduled to take place today at 1:15 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

According to the agenda, the Chairperson of the Legislative Management Committee, Tulsa Kumari Dahal, is set to present the committee’s report on the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080. Although this was initially scheduled for Monday, the report could not be presented due to the committee not having completed its discussions.

Today’s meeting will also include the presentation of a proposal by Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation, Balaram Adhikari, to consider the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Relating to Land, 2082, which was forwarded by the House of Representatives.

In addition, two parliamentary committees are also holding meetings today. The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee will review the progress of its past work, while the Legislative Management Committee will continue discussions on the draft report of the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080.
