NRB announces today’s foreign exchange rates



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today, Wednesday. Some foreign currencies have depreciated slightly, while others—such as the Australian Dollar, British Pound, and Euro—have shown a modest increase in value.

According to the NRB, the buying rate of the US Dollar today is NPR 132.52, while the selling rate is NPR 133.13. This shows a slight drop in the buying rate compared to yesterday, when the buying rate was NPR 132.92 and the selling rate remained unchanged at NPR 133.13.

The Euro has also appreciated slightly. Today, it is being bought at NPR 142.93 and sold at NPR 143.57. Yesterday, the rates were NPR 142.61 for buying and NPR 143.26 for selling.

Similarly, the British Pound has also seen an increase. The current buying rate is NPR 168.96, while the selling rate is NPR 169.61. In comparison, yesterday’s buying rate was NPR 168.52 and the selling rate was NPR 169.14.

The Australian Dollar is trading at a buying rate of NPR 88.89 and a selling rate of NPR 89.50. This marks an increase from yesterday’s buying rate of NPR 87.86 and selling rate of NPR 88.46.

Likewise, the Kuwaiti Dinar has a buying rate of NPR 432.53 and a selling rate of NPR 433.17 today. These rates are slightly higher than yesterday’s, which were NPR 431.85 for buying and NPR 432.44 for selling.

Similarly, the Bahraini Dinar is being bought at NPR 350.72 and sold at NPR 351.36. This reflects a minor increase from yesterday’s rates of NPR 349.92 for buying and NPR 350.57 for selling.

These official exchange rates, as set by the Nepal Rastra Bank, serve as a benchmark for commercial banks operating across the country.
