NAC operates flight service from Tarigaun airport

DANG: The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has started operating flight service from the Tarigaun Airport in Tulsipur-12.

NAC Tulsipur section chief, Bal Bahadur Sunar informed that the the corporation has been operating flight service from the Tarigaun Airport five days a week based on the demand of passengers.

According to him, flights are being operated on five other days in the week except Wednesday and Saturday.

Due to lack of regular air service at Taringaun, passengers had to go to Nepalgunj or Bhairahawa. Also, the runway of the airport is small, so large aircraft have not been able to land.

Currently, only a 19-seat aircraft can land at the airport. The runway of the airport is now 750 meters long. There have been repeated calls to extend the runway. This airport was built in 2011 BS.
