Cabinet meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A cabinet meeting is being held this morning (Thursday) at Singha Durbar, as called by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Kham Bahadur Garbuja will also be sworn in today as the Minister of State for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation.

Garbuja, a Nepali Congress lawmaker elected from Myagdi, was appointed to the post by President Ram Chandra Paudel on Wednesday, following the government’s recommendation.

He replaces former Minister of State Purna Bahadur Tamang, who was dismissed by Prime Minister Oli.
