KATHMANDU: On the first day of trading this Sunday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rose by 75.24 points, reaching a total of 2,890.28 points.
A total of 29,166,656 shares, valued at Rs 14.25 billion, were traded across 302 companies, with 139,596 transactions taking place.
Out of the 13 groups that were traded, the mutual fund group saw a decline in its index.
The share price of 196 companies increased, while 44 companies experienced a drop in share price. Four companies’ share prices remained unchanged.
Notably, the share prices of Himalayan Distillery, Garden Micro Insurance, and Nepal Life Insurance each increased by 10 percent.
The indices of the finance, microfinance, hotel, and tourism sectors all saw an increase of more than four percent.
