Parliamentary committee unanimously approves amendment to Prevention of Corruption Act



KATHMANDU: The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the Parliament has unanimously approved the bill to amend the Prevention of Corruption Act.

In a meeting held on Thursday, the committee passed the amendment bill alongside the report prepared by a subcommittee led by Nepali Congress MP Hridaya Ram Thani.

Committee Chairperson Ramhari Khatiwada confirmed that the bill, submitted with the subcommittee’s recommendations, received unanimous support during the session.

The amendment aims to strengthen anti-corruption measures and enhance accountability within governance systems.
