Six parliamentary committees to hold meetings today



KATHMANDU: Six committees under the Federal Parliament are holding meetings today at Singha Durbar between 11 am and 3 pm.

The committees include the International Relations and Tourism Committee, the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee, the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, the Infrastructure Development Committee, the Legislation Management Committee, and the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee.

The International Relations and Tourism Committee will discuss the 2024/25 fiscal year programs and the progress made by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation.

Meanwhile, the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee will review clauses related to the Forest and Environment Ministry in the bill to amend certain Nepal Acts.

The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee will deliberate on the subcommittee’s report concerning the amendment of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2002.

Similarly, the Infrastructure Development Committee will conduct a clause-wise discussion on the Water Resources Bill, 2024.

The Legislation Management Committee will focus on the Tilganga Eye University Bill, 2024, while the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee will hold discussions with officials from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies.
