T20 series: Nepal falls to West Indies in final match

KATHMANDU: Nepal suffered a 10-wicket loss in the third and final match of the Unity Cup T20 Series against the West Indies, held late on September 30 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Despite the defeat, Nepal had already clinched the series by winning the first two matches—historic victories over the two-time T20 World Cup champions.

Nepal took the opening match by 19 runs and delivered a dominant performance in the second, winning by a commanding 90-run margin. These wins marked a milestone for Nepal in international T20 cricket.

In the final game, Nepal was sent in to bat after losing the toss and managed 122 runs before being bowled out in 19.5 overs. Chasing a modest target of 123, the West Indies completed the run chase with ease, reaching the total in just 12.2 overs without losing a wicket.

For the West Indies, opener Amir Jangoo led the charge with an unbeaten 74 off 45 balls, while Ackeem Auguste remained not out on 41 runs, guiding their side to a comfortable win and their first victory in the series.
