National Assembly meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: The National Assembly is meeting today at 3:15 PM at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

In today’s meeting, the Chair will brief the House on a letter received from the Office of the President regarding the appointment of cabinet members. Likewise, Legislative Management Committee Chairperson Tulsa Kumari Dahal will present the Legislative Management Committee Report on the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080.

National Assembly Secretary Dr. Surendra Aryal is slated to table a message from the House of Representatives concerning the Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Relating to Land, 2082.

Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel is also scheduled to present a proposal for consideration of the Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill, 2081, received from the lower house.

Meanwhile, two parliamentary committee meetings are also scheduled for today. The Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee will meet to discuss theoretical aspects of the Nepal Veterinary Council (First Amendment) Bill, 2082 with stakeholders. The Legislative Management Committee will discuss the Draft Report on the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080. Both meetings are scheduled for 11:30 AM.
