Two killed, three injured in tree collapse in Sindhuli



SINDHULI: Two people were killed and three others injured after a tree collapsed in Bastipur, Hariharpurgadhi Rural Municipality-1, Sindhuli, on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred when a tree fell on a hut due to a landslide triggered by continuous rainfall, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Suryaksha Subedi of the District Police Office.

Nine-year-old Sarki Thing and 16-year-old Shanta Gole, who were inside the hut at the time, died on the spot.

The injured—14-year-old Sirjana Maya, 15-year-old Sandhya Bholan, and seven-year-old Sushil Thing—have been sent to Hetauda Hospital for treatment, police said.
