KATHMANDU: Nepal is set to host its first-ever international-level Nepal Fitness Expo 2082, aimed at promoting fitness as a field of education and professional growth.
Organized by Classic Fitness Academy and managed by Ringle Events, the expo will take place on August 30 at the Hotel Mall in Kathmandu.
The total estimated cost of the event is over Rs 7 million, said Rojal Shahi, founder and director of Classic Fitness Academy Nepal, at a press conference on Friday.
The expo will bring together prominent fitness influencers and business representatives from several Asian countries, including India and Malaysia.
According to Shahi, the event is more than just a display of fitness-related products and services—it aims to serve as a vital platform for professional networking. “The main objective is to strengthen Nepal’s fitness industry and elevate it to the international level,” he said.
The expo will feature a wide range of exhibitions including fitness brands, nutrition, equipment, apparel, and health-related services. A Fitness Awards Show will also be held, with honors in four categories: Rising Athlete, Best Athlete, Best Coach, and Lifetime Achievement.
Renowned Nepali fitness figures such as Rajesh Shahi, Maheshwor Maharjan, Prajwalman Shakya, and Rajani Shrestha, along with international fitness celebrities, are expected to attend.
Organizers highlighted the event as a major opportunity for aspiring gym owners, fitness trainers, and entrepreneurs in the supplement business to network and explore new business ventures.
Entry to the expo is free, and attendees will receive gifts, the organizers added.
