NC Central Committee meeting continues today

KATHMANDU: The Central Working Committee meeting of the Nepali Congress is set to continue today at 1 PM at the party’s central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur.

The meeting, which began on Monday, features a discussion on 13 key agenda items, including updates on the distribution of active party memberships. General Secretary Gagan Thapa is expected to brief the committee on this matter.

Another major topic of discussion will be the term extension of ad hoc committees of the party’s sister organizations that failed to conduct their conventions on time.

According to party spokesperson Prakash Sharan Mahat, the meeting will primarily gather feedback from central committee members on issues related to the ruling coalition government and the internal status of sister organizations. The performance of federal and provincial ministers representing the party will also be reviewed in subsequent sessions.

During Monday’s meeting, Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba presented the revised directives for the Central Policy Research and Training Academy and submitted its latest report.

Additionally, party leaders deployed across various districts also shared their experiences and assessments related to the party’s ongoing 100-day mobilization campaign.

The meeting is expected to continue over the next few days as the party prepares for internal reforms and strategic planning within the coalition context.
