Monsoon winds affecting most parts of Koshi Province



KATHMANDU: Westerly and local winds are currently influencing the western and central regions of Nepal, while monsoon winds are affecting most areas of Koshi Province, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The rest of the country will experience clear to partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of the hilly regions mentioned above, and in isolated spots elsewhere.

Light rain and snowfall are also possible in some high hill and mountainous areas.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to generally cloudy across the country.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of the hilly regions of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places in other provinces. Light rain and snowfall are also possible in high hill and mountainous regions.
