NSL: Butwal Lumbini FC face Dhangadhi FC today

KATHMANDU: Butwal Lumbini FC and Dhangadhi FC are set to face off today in the Nepal Super League (NSL) 2025 at Dasharath Stadium, Tripureshwor, at 6 PM.

This will be Butwal Lumbini’s second match in the tournament, while Dhangadhi will be playing their first matche this season. With this fixture, all seven teams in the league will have played at least one match.

Butwal Lumbini started their campaign with a 0-0 draw against Jhapa FC, a match where their captain Arik Bista was sent off with a red card. In Bista’s absence, marquee player Manish Dangi will take over as captain. However, Butwal Lumbini’s coach, Pushpa Lal Sharma, remains confident that his team will not be significantly affected.

Dhangadhi FC, twice runners-up in previous NSL editions, is determined to secure its first title this year. Led by defender Devendra Tamang, the team has designated young midfielder Kritish Ratna Chhunju as its marquee player.
