Women’s T20: Nepal and Thailand set to clash today



KATHMANDU: Nepal will face Thailand today in the Tri-nation Women’s T20 International cricket series.

The match will be the third of the competition, which began on Thursday at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. In the opening match, Nepal lost to the Netherlands by 20 runs.

In the second match, Thailand defeated the Netherlands by eight wickets. Nepal will be aiming for its first win in today’s encounter.

In their opening match, Nepal won the toss and invited the Netherlands to bat first but suffered a defeat after failing to chase down the target of 158 runs.

Nepal could only manage 137 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their full 20 overs.

The Netherlands is ranked 16th, Nepal is ranked 20th, and Thailand is ranked 13th in the ICC rankings.
